The RomiShape/DT
is a bi-dimensional measurement
system from Romidot. Built
for laboratory or office
use, RomiShape/DT offers
high-performance measurement
surpassing any type of
profile projector. RomiShape/AL
is ideal for Die Correction
or laboratory applications
in Aluminium and other
Metal Extrusion Plants
, with the famous RomiShape
simplicity and user-friendliness.
RomiShape/DT uses a Line
CCD Camera to scan the
inspected object and create
a complete 2D computer
image of the object's
face. The created image
is a true 1:1 ratio and
very accurate. RomiShape/DT
allows on-screen comparison
of the object's image
to its original CAD design
or a "Golden Part"
reference. Deviations
between the Theoritical
and actual are clearly
displayed in color. The
system provides a Pass/Fail
decision and detailed
reports based on CAD data
previously defined.

Samples are
placed on the scanning surface
witout any need for focusing,
positioning or special orientation.
Multiple samples of the same
profile can be scanned simultaneously.
Sample preparation
is fast and easy using Romidot's
proprietary Sample Saws.

RomiShape systems provide even
more value to the user when
integrated on the network. RomiShape
performs measurements on Computer
Images, therefore, access to
RomiShape image files can be
allowed from remote computers
sharing files on the network.
RomiShape Remote-Access software
licenses are:
- DimPack - for remote pre-definition
of the inspection criteria
(CAD drawings, Nominal Dimensions,
Tolerances)
- ViewPack - for remote viewing
and measuring of existing
scanned image files (samples).
Viewpack allows to duplicate
the operation on the RomiShape
machine on a remote computer.
- StatPack - Statistical Analysis
and SPC software for Process
Control and Optimization.
